AUTONET MOBILE SELECTED BY SPORTCHASSIS TO PROVIDE
WIRELESS INTERNET SERVICE FOR THEIR CUSTOM VEHICLES
San Francisco, Calif., – April 16, 2008 - SportChassis has selected Autonet Mobile, the first wireless Internet provider for vehicles, to provide the latest accessory option for their Custom pickup trucks. SportChassis is now offering the Autonet Mobile Internet as a featured option on their custom hauler vehicles to both new and existing customers.
The Autonet Mobile Internet Solution gives drivers and their passengers the ability to have continuous Internet access while in motion by turning their vehicle into a Wi-Fi hotspot. The service is half the cost of a cell card and connects every passenger in the rig to the Internet, where they can surf the web, check email, perform safe on-line banking, IM, chat or download on-line games from the vehicle. Autonet Mobile Internet Solution is offered at MSRP for $595 and $39 per month.
“We have been searching for a product that is versatile and user friendly with no configuration necessary. Up until now, broadband Internet has been the missing link,” said Tim Sinor, president and CEO of SportChassis. “We have a wide range of customers - from RV’s, equine and weekend enthusiasts – who all want an Internet solution. We are very impressed with Autonet Mobile’s versatility, ease of use and quality of service.”
Sterling Pratz, CEO of Autonet Mobile said, “We are delighted to be able to provide SportChassis with a wireless Internet solution that helps their customers stay connected at an affordable price. We have lots of traveling customers who roam the U.S. including National Geographic’s “Storm Chasers”, NASCAR and USAC teams, rock bands and of course, race car drivers. Having raced cars professionally and driven all over the country I know firsthand how important it is to stay in touch with the family and the office while on the road.”
Autonet Mobile’s patent pending TRU-Technology enables continuous Internet access so that passengers stay connected while driving. TRU Technology makes connecting to the internet easy, reliable and secure, eliminating the “Dropped Call Syndrome” suffered by vehicles, delivering a high quality, low cost service that maintains a seamless connection as the vehicle moves down the road.
